Customs Clears TOR Of Allegations Over Warehouses

TOR has been cleared of all allegations of defrauding the state and conniving with customs officials to rob the state of millions of dollars.

The Procurement Manager, Mr. Alfred Dodoo explained that the refinery is a responsible organization and has always fulfilled its tax obligations and does not owe the state as alleged by the presidential task force.

He added that investigations carried out by TOR together with officials of customs confirmed that TOR always paid import duties on goods before clearing them from its customs bonded warehouse.

The presidential task force alleged that TOR has swindled the state through the evasion of tax payments on the use of customs bonded warehouse between 2005 and 2012. To date TOR has not received any letter from the presidential task force or customs on the said allegations.

The allegations have proved to be false in view of the investigations carried out.
