Completion of Turnaround Maintenance Delays

The completion of the on-going shutdown maintenance at the refinery has delayed further due to the late arrival of some critical spares required to fix extensive damages uncovered at the Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracker (RFCC).

“We believe it is in the best interest of the company and the nation to take time to comprehensively fix all identified damages to enhance the continuous operation of the processing plants and for the supply of quality refined petroleum products” said the GM-Maintenance.

Currently, the turnaround maintenance is about 95% completed. According to GMs Production and Maintenance, works on the plant is technically completed and pre- start up activities would commence when the Maintenance Division hands over the plant to the Production Division in October this year.
